Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Dartcher — 20 Oct 2011
Scream 4 was a huge surprise. Sure, there was all the hype, but I never thought it would pay off. It definitely did, 100%. Well, that's what I thought when I saw it in theatres. Upon the second viewing, Scream 4's flaws are more noticeable, such as a bit of predictability and a few disappointing moments.
However, the pros are all there: The characters are all distinct and interesting, the film actually has suspense and tension, and it was just a bloody good time. It's the perfect film for the Halloween season.
