I know most critics don't love "Scream 4", but I believe it saved the franchise. "3" showed the series was dead, but with a great use of humor and very clever kills, "4" is great entertainment.
Assuming you can find the horror in bloody slashings. The usage of new characters along with returning favorites works well, and the twist at the end is satisfying. This isn't classy, or even that memorable entertainment, but it should inspire several viewings.
