Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Jaws N — 17 Oct 2013
My expectations for this were low, but I was entertained at least--especially from the first 10 minutes. But everything else afterwards was kind of running through the same formula from the first three films, which makes the idea of "new decade, new rules" seem like a embellishment of what really is.
They do try to make this come off as something of a reboot/remake of the original, but even then we get these fresh faces, and the original ones take the focus. I thought this movie was okay; I like just about as much as any of the other Scream movies, and probably better than the third one.
But God forbid we actually make it to Scream 5 or 6 or 7!
