Review of Scream 3 (2000) by Joe A — 28 Apr 2011
Scream 3 is definitely the weakest of the now 4 movies. Kevin Williamson's witty touch is sorely lacking and Wes Craven seems to be tired of it all at this point. Third Scream deals with the filming of Stab 3 and yet another killer assuming the ghostface mantle and trying to gruesomely stop the film and, once again, kill Sydney, who is living in hiding.
Even had Williamson signed on, the whole 'somebody wants to kill Sydney' thing is getting tiresome and the story is just a weak excuse to put us through it all a third time. Sub par follow up to the horror classic and it's decent sequel.
