Review of Scream 3 (2000) by Rich C — 08 Oct 2011
"Scream 3" is the most disappointing entry in the "Scream" franchise, but it is not as horrible as one might expect. It is entertaining at time with more jabs at itself with the movie-within-a-movie setting.
Ethen Krueger's script is very weak compared to the script's written by Kevin Williamson along with too much Parker Posey in this movie. The revelation of the killer is the same problem that "Scream 3" suffered from, which was the fact that the killer was revealed to be a secondary character who we thought was dead.
I kind of liked how the killer's motives brings the trilogy to a full circle with what happened in the first "Scream".
