Yep, the "Scream" movies, a series of films that were in and of themselves spoofs of generic slasher movies, has turned into a generic slasher movie with "Scream 3". Despite a few awesome kills here and there, it's pretty stupid and predictable. Even if you aren't familiar with this series of movies, just skip it. It's not very good. Like, at all.
