Review of Scream 3 (2000) by Daniel A — 01 Aug 2011
Without the novelty seen in the first two movies, nor their wit for that matter, Scream 3 comes off as an unneccesary cash-grab from director Wes Craven, who falls into all the genre conventions that he so cleverly spoofed in his earlier works.
Despite more blood-splattered deaths than ever, the "final entry" in the Scream trilogy is easily the weakest, mercilessly recycling what worked in the first movies to create a film that feels so familiar that many fans will be convinced they've seen it all before.
