I'll never understand why people like this sequel. Other than the killing of Randy, there is nothing surprising. It's easy to predict when a murder will happen: people start to relax and get a little too calm, here comes Ghostface.

Example: Sydney and her roommate climb out of the car over an unconscious Ghostface and things seem okay. Then, uh oh, he's missing, and her roommate is standing right next to some large construction which leaves a convenient place for him to leap out from behind.

I remember in the theater waving "Bye bye" to her as soon as his body was missing. They try to fake you out with who the killer is so many times that when they unveil it's one of the minor new characters, it's not surprising.

The reaction is more like, "Wait, who's that?" And of course, they have to stand around and explain everything after the killer is revealed. Oh, and in film class they didn't say Empire over Star Wars for a better sequel than the original? Strike.
