Review of Scream 2 (1997) by Charles S — 28 May 2014
This is a fun sequel, while the first film was kind of an homage to slasher films and horror films, and it was also an interesting take on slasher films since the teenagers in the first scream where big horror fans so it was kinda self referential.
Scream 2 is like an homage to horror movie sequels and the rules that horror sequels have set, while the film kind of seems like a parody of horror sequels at times, it is quite a clever slasher, with just the right amount of suspense, mystery, and humor to keep the audience entertained, this film is truely a clever sequel.
