Saw this on 18/11/14.

The reason for making such a sequel (other than monetary gain) are as strange as to why David Arquette is given top billing in the series. The original Scream was a film for which an actual sequel couldn't possibly me made and that's because it's too original and that it's impossible to make a movie as pulpy as it. The original scream is a homage to the cult horror thrillers and it made fun on the stupid ones, along with that, it provided various twists that made us convince ourselves that the film is entirely different from all the films that it praised or panned. All these elements are off shore in this sequel which lacks in pulp, thrills, twists and most of all pace. The killer sound track of the first film and it's mystery were super credential, which is nowhere to be seen in this horrible thriller. In the first film, the audience is made to doubt each and every character in the movie, but in this sequel, going into the first half itself, it's clearly evident who the killer is. The film has some twists which some may consider good, but still it seems unconvincing. I leave the rest of the series there, I just wanna live with my memory of the original.
