Review of Scream 2 (1997) by Patricia W — 04 Dec 2012
"Scream 2" is a sequel that doesn't feel forced, has some good scares and a decent amount of laughs too. While there isn't as much humour and the movie references aren't as prevalent (which you might like or dislike) the film plays on your expectations after having seen the first film and succeeds in keeping you guessing.
There film also plays as a more straightforward horror film while bringing some very interesting elements to the franchise (such as the "Stab" film seen inside the movie). Your favourite (surviving) characters are back which means you will actually care when they are in jeopardy and although the ending isn't as clean as it should be, it's a good sequel.
