Though Scream 2 is nowhere near as good as the original Scream film it's still a solid sequel from the same crew members who handled the original Scream and it may not be nearly as good as the first film but it packs a punch perfectly as a solid sequel that is more entertaining than the first film.

I seriously like this film as much as I enjoyed the first Scream movie. I still have the box set of the first three movies and I love watching the first two Scream films and I'm ready to watch Scream 3 later.

The plot of Scream 2 is simple and the movie takes place after the events of the first Scream movie where Sidney Prescott is now a College student and has live on with her life with her new boyfriend Derek but soon Sidney is once again is the target of another killer who is a copycat and Sidney must find out who the killer is before she dies next.

Like I said this is a great film and it managed to handle everything quite well for a solid sequel and everything about Scream 2 is just great so far. What's great about Scream 2 is that the film has the same suspense as the original Scream and the whole movie is really suspenceful as the first film and the film also has a lot of tense moments as the first film.

There are lots of suspenceful and tense moments in the film and I did like the use of the suspense in this movie so far. The opening scene where the two College students gets killed in the theater during the premiere of Stab is one of the most tense parts of the film because the way the killer reacts in that scene is just great and I like how everyone in that scene is disguised as the same costume as the killer in that scene and I think it's a great opening scene for Scream 2 so far.

While the scene that I like the most is when Sidney Prescott and her friend gets attacked by the killer in the cop car and that is one of the most intense parts of the film as well so far. Even Cici's chase scene is really intense and scary at the same time and I like that scene as well.

What I also like about Scream 2 is that the film also has a lot of similarities to the first film. And seriously this movie has a lot of similarities to the first Scream film. The scene where Cici gets chased by the killer in the campus is really similar to the opening scene of the first film where Drew Barrymore gets attacked by the killer and is killed outside after a short chase outside.

The scene where Randy explains the rules to Dewey Riley is also similar to the scene where he explains the rules to the students in the first film of a Horror movie. The scene where Sidney punched Gail Weathers is also similar to the scene where Sidney Punched Gail Weathers in the first movie due to an interview.

While the most similar scenes in this movie is the last part of the film where Sidney meets the two killers who is Billy Loomis' mom and her classmate Mickey is also similar to the first film where Sidney discovers the two killers in the first Scream movie and that is Stu and Billy and the most similar part of the film is the ending of the movie and the similarities are just great so far for the film.

What I also like about Scream 2 is that the film is also full of suspenceful death scenes and the death scenes are just as suspenceful as the death scenes in the first Scream film. The opening death scene where the two kids gets killed in the theater is a really suspenceful kill in the movie so far and I did like that scene a lot.

The scene where Randy gets attacked by the killer is just great and really tense as well. Cici's death scene was also suspenceful as well while the rest of the death scenes are also good in the movie as well and the rest of the kills are suspenceful so far.

The biggest downside of Scream 2 is that the film lacks the originality of the first film and the other one is that the film is campy on certain parts and my other problem with Scream 2 is the lack of humor that the first film had this movie could have been so much better if it didn't have anything missing for one reason but it's an ok sequel.

Now the acting is great the performances of the returning casts from the first Scream film along with the new casts is impressive and once again the beautiful and gorgeous Neve Campbell handled her role once again as the protagonist Sidney Prescott and she handled her role really well in the Scream sequels even Courtney Cox and David Arquette handled they're roles rally well in the film so far.

Director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson did a good job in making a solid sequel and they really handled they're work really well in Scream 2 so far and I hope they work again for more future films in the future so far.

Overall Scream 2 gets an 8/10 because this movie has the same style as the first film but the movie suffers from the lack of originality, humor and a bit campy on certain parts.
