As far as sequels go, this is just brilliant. The writing is brilliant. Kevin Williamson's script is just ingenious. A satirical parody on sequels, and a satirical parody on self awareness in sequel films.
More blood, more gore, more violence, but done intelligently, stylishly and in good taste. The cast is strong, and the characters are juggled and orchestrated amazingly. A superb follow up. Wes Craven knows what to do.
