Review of Scream 2 (1997) by Michael M — 13 Jun 2013
It's pretty much as good as the first one. The killer's reveal is a nice homage to a certain classic slasher, but also not as shocking or interesting as the reveal in the first film, and the horror elements seem more played up than the comedy.
I really liked how self-aware and meta the whole thing was, and that they actually address the copycat murders that happened in real life. Maybe a little tasteless, but interesting, and a valid point to be made.
