Not as good as the first, but I guess that's just how sequels are sometimes. And oh man does Scream 2 talk about sequels a lot, as it should. In the film, characters bring up great films with sequels that were either good or bad.
Some of these were the Godfather (good), Star Wars (not really a sequel), and Terminator (not bad). As for Scream, I'd say pretty damn good.
