Review of Scott Walker: 30 Century Man (2007) by Alec H — 06 Jan 2009
Fascinating documentary on one of rock music's most under-appreciated, enigmatic, and influential figures. While the film skirts over his personal life, it focuses very intimately on his career and, most importantly, his music.
Virtually everybody under the sun is interviewed in it, but it is Mr. Walker's (nee Engel) own presence before the camera that provides its emotional heft, as he answers the questions put forth to him in a way that is both honest and affable.
Recommended.
