Review of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) by Isaac D — 27 Sep 2013
This film made me fall in love with Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. After this film, I had to watch all of their other movies (or at least the ones that interested me *coughs*). As someone who was a fan of the graphic novels as a kid, I felt that the film was wonderfully executed and creatively portrayed.
Not to mention the fact that there was a great deal of opportunities for clever comebacks that were taken advantage of. You will find yourself laughing repeatedly if you're a fan of abrupt, sarcastic humor like myself.
The idea of blowing up the arcade game theme was BRILLIANT and I loved the rich diversity in the evil exes. Oh and the settings and special effects are beautiful! You will find yourself getting lost in the snowy, star-filled universe of Scott Pilgrim.
