Review of Scoop (2006) by Rob C — 05 May 2009
I liked this movie. It wasn't what I expected, which was a rom-com or some such thing, but a whodunnit, with all the conventional suspicions, plot twists, and suprise endings. You might think it sounds predictable and boring, and at some points you'd be right, such as the numerous occassions when Allen and Johansson's characters stand around and argue with each other over the guilt of Jackman's character.
But there's enough that's fresh, enough that's fun and delightful, that one can enjoy the movie for its own sake.
