It brought back a band that hasn't been active in 15+ years, and a silly excuse to bring KISS back. I like KISS as much of anyone else, but I believe they only let this movie be created for money, and a chance of people buying it out of nostalgia. Also, out of all things they choose is KISS, mind you this is a kids movie... ya, and KISS is known for having women go either half-naked and throw their bras and stuff on stage. KISS isn't exactly "kid friendly" to make a movie with the gang.

The members of KISS look horrifying on the cover, in the sense of just badly drawn... the Demon and Spaceman's eyes look weird, and very wrong.

Also, one thing that pestered me is that they avoided mentioning KISS' members real names throughout the movie, even though everyone knows their actual names. At least they know Gene Simmons (Demon). Also, most kids now days won't really know KISS, and if they do, it would be from one song or from their parents... No connection, or familiarity for the younger audience.

Aside from that, Scoody and Shaggy don't know when to stop pissing Gene Simmons (the demon) off, and Daphne is doing the cliche of falling in love with someone (Starchild), and Fred being jealous as usual. It's not amusing, it's old, and very overused in the franchise, and the newer movies just make it worse by far.

*spoilers*.

The whole "it was a hallucination" thing was ridiculous due to the fact that not a whole group of people can hallucinate the whole incident and see the same thing at once. Then again, that's when they decide to do another twist and make you question if it is real or not, or Shaggy and Scooby are still high on the drug the Crimson Witch had for fog.

*end of spoilers*.

It might be nostalgia fogging my mind, but I hate this movie and how they brought in something that should've remain dead. The franchise is basically dead at this point. (Mystery Inc. series being the one that mainly killed it with the lack of character personality, and making the characters one dimensional and erased their iconic traits.).
