Review of School for Scoundrels (2006) by Dawn D — 02 Feb 2008
Jon Heder is a one trick pony. The only role he can play is the underdog or loser-come-good. He was perfect in Napoleon Dynamite but in this film he disappoints. I think the main problem was that it took itself a little too seriously.
BBT and Michael CD work well together teaching their scroundrel class but there isn't enough comedy in the story. Todd Philips is well known for his light comedies but he hasn't captured the same magic of Roadtrip or Old School.
