Review of School for Scoundrels (1960) by Ashton S — 27 Aug 2009
Another film featuring a parking inspector. I found it entertaining and well constructed. I would love to see the Germans or French remake this film with more of an edge to it because I think this would be better as a black comedy.
It's like a train ride, I dosed off in parts and jumped out of my seat in others. For some reason I just don't like the lead actor, the guy is a good looking dude acting like a loser. The whole point of the film is that the protaganist grows as a person which for me just dosen't gel. Much like the devil wears prada.
But the shooting in the nuts with a paint gun was funny. Long live the young ones.
