Review of School Daze (1942) by Ray S — 06 Jun 2007
This is Spike Lee's best film, period. Instead of dealing with the issue of race from a black/white standpoint, this film deals with the issue of race between black people themselves. Spike got criticed by the black community for "airing out our dirty laundry," but the bottom line is that he told the truth, and he told it VERY well.
Outstanding film.
