Review of School Daze (1942) by Gerald F — 12 Aug 2008

Whenever people see this movie, either people love this movie or they hate it. There is no middle ground. As you can tell from my rating, I loved it. I think the major reason people have such an aversion to this movie is that the movie is filled with "inside jokes".

If you have never attended a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), you will view this movie to be trivial or unrealistic. But those who are familiar with the HBCU environment will view the film as poignant and will find themselves reliving their college experience.

As a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University, I know I did.
