Review of School Daze (1942) by Its Gotta Be The Shoes [Tru Skool] — 29 Sep 2008
The predecessor to the breakout hit Do the Right Thing, School Daze is a solid movie highlighting the in-race prejudices between lighter-skinned and darker-skinned African Americans.
Good strong cast, likable characters, detestable characters, realistic college depiction. And see Laurence Fishburne after he was Cowboy Curtis but long before he was Morpheus!
Look for the hilarious Samuel L Jackson cameo. Highly recommended.
