Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Carolina F — 20 Jul 2014
I will never forget seeing this movie.. 1993 Jr year HS. They arranged a morning viewing of it at our local Cineplex. All JR/SR classes were encouraged to see this. On the way to the movie, the bus was loud, kids laughing and cracking jokes {myself included} basically just kids bein kids and excited about getting out of class for 4 hours including lunch at Mcdonalds afterwards.
We get to the movie, everyone gets a prepaid small popcorn and mediim soft drink courtesy of my HS. Still, harmless jokes being cracked in the lobby.. 3 hours later... On the bus you could hear a pin drop.
Hardly any a word was spoken on the way to Mcdonalds. During our lunch, there may have been 2-3 conversations going amongst 40 + students. It truly haunted everyone in that group. We were just young Kentucky kids going thru the motions of HS.
This movie was my first real History lesson and I'm sure I speak for the groiup and class of 1994. Thank you, Mr. Spielberg.
