Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Mick T — 09 Feb 2013
It almost feels wrong to be giving stars to a movie like this but it deserves them all and more. Epic, powerful film making that picthes everything to the right degree, that shows everything as it happened without feeling voyeuristic and which delivers a history lesson so horrific that you truly hope it will never happen again.
Until the next time. Spielberg's direction here is peerless, Williams' score lifts it to new levels without feeling maudlin and the performances are electrifying. Everything works on every level.
Faultless. It should be shown in every school as part of history lessons just so people now see what can really happen.
