Schindler's List was a very sad, but good movie. Oskar Schindler was a good man who seemed to become more and more good as the movie continued. What the Germans did to the Jewish people was totally unacceptable. They treated Jews as if they were not even human, like their lives didn't matter, but my question is why? Who gave the Germans the right to decide if someone is worthy or not, no one did they were just being mean and cruel for no reason whatsoever. This movie was about the Holocaust and the treatment of the Jewish people by Germany. They moved them out of their homes and into a filthy Ghetto, then moved them to concentration camps and worse. While all of this was going on Jews were dying senselessly by the hands of the German army. One of the head persons in the German army was Amon Goeth and he was the absolute worst. Just killing Jews because he wanted too, that is until Oskar Schindler taught him about power and what real power is and that is how he saved the Jews that he did. Mr. Schindler knew that what he was doing for the Jews was going to get him in trouble but he did it anyway. He only went to Germany to make money as use the Jews to do it, but ended up respecting them and saving their lives as much as he could by coming up with a list of Jews to buy out of slavery basically. He bought them and put them to work in his factory making fake bullets and letting them live as human being and respecting their ways of life. It was honestly a beautiful site to see when he scolded the rabbi for working on the Sabbath. This movie shows how the German government at that time was cruel and evil, but it also shows that there were and still are good people out there. I'm glad this movie was made because the people of my generation and generations to come get to see how it really was for the Jews because yes I knew about the Holocaust and that it was terrible but to actually see it is a different thing. It makes us think about the greater good and how racist is pointless and stupid. This movie is a great learning tool for those who can take seeing all of the hatred that was shown to the Jewish community.

This movie relates to world religions because it is something that has affected a group of people all over the world. Jews were persecuted for so many years since the beginning of their existence and for what, there is no reason other than pure hatred. Hatred of people just because they are different is wrong and immoral. I'm so glad that times have changed some what, I'm sure there are still some problems between Jews and Muslims over in the Holy land, but nothing like the Holocaust or even like the Exodus in the Bible. Now Jews can live peacefully here in the USA not be persecuted or even executed.
