Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Colton R — 14 Nov 2015
Schindler's List is an empowering movie that gives you an insight to Hitler's reign over the Jews. Liam Neeson plays the lead role as a man who is a German that is running a factory where Jews perform labor in.
Oskar Schindler's businessman is a Jew himself that is well acquainted to knowing how to run a factory. Schindler's associate is under the control of the Nazi's and is working while Schindler is keeping an eye out for him weekly to ensure he is not taken on a train elsewhere.
One of the most moving parts of the movie was when Hitler took a Jew out to be shot because he did not make enough hinges for his liking at that point in the day, he would find things to shoot a Jew over just for the thrill of it.
Helen whom is Hitler's favorite maid is the one who is giving information to Schindler about how he beat her, shot random Jewish people who were harmless, and gave her "rules" to keep her safe.
Hitler then tells Helen although she is not a person in the sense of what is going on in the world that he just simply wants to touch her without thinking she is not a German and then slaps her and calls her a Jewish bitch for trying to fool him.
The Jews are stating that why have a workforce of Jews when all the Nazi's want to do is end up killing them for any wrongdoings that they seek out. They perform a wellness physical to ensure which Jews are worthy and those that are worthless.
The process is barbaric like. In April of 1944, ashes fell from the sky of the more than 10,000 Jews that were burned in Plaszow. This movie has given much consciousness to how deeply the Holocaust has affected modern day Judaism and the inhumane killings of the Jews.
Schindler tells Hitler he will pay the utmost amount of money for his Jews. The Jews today who are descendants of those who were saved are known as the Schindler-Jews. It ultimately took six years for the war to end, the Jews were finally going to be freed.
In Judaism today, Oskar Schindler is looked up to as a selfless German who did not see Jews as a lesser nationality but as one that can work just as diligently. In world religion today, the Holocaust has a profound attachment to the way the Jewish community views how strong knitted their religion is because of it.
Modern day Judaism views this tortuous time as one that can be made into something that will bound their religion as one and each and every Jew can share that story of Oskar Schindler as a hope to all Jews today that survived the Holocaust and their descendants.
"For one who saves one life, he saves the world in time.".
