Sit back and relax and let Martin Brest's film entertain and intrigue you for 2 and a half speedy hours. We may have seen coming of age movies like this before, but this one was done extremely well.
It really goes without saying that this is probably Pacino's magnum opus performance wise. He just explodes on the screen and takes command of the film. Part dramedy, part character study, the film grabs on to the viewer and never lets go.
In a side note, it was a nice surprise seeing a young Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his first film roles.
