Review of Scent of a Woman (1992) by Roðrigo V — 26 Feb 2010
Deep and suprisingly emotional for a movie about two men. Al Pacino's in-your-face brashness was well-complimented by Chris O'Donnel's quiet vulnerability and they take each other on a journey over a Thanksgiving weekend that neither of them could have foreseen.
If the intensity of their journey becomes too much, there is comfort in the scenes with Pacino driving a ferrari, dancing the tango to Gardel's "Por Una Cabeza", and anything that he says followed by "who-ah".
