Review of Scent of a Woman (1992) by Matt F — 06 May 2011
Pacino delivers one of his final performances before the Great Fatigue set in. His Oscar for this film is definitely a case of cumulative restitution, but it's a fine performance nonetheless. Chris O'Donnell is very low-footprint, which is better than excess-footprint.
Overall, it's a bit like a small-scaled, but expansive American Beauty Light that also compliments other speechy anti-prep school films such as "Finding Forrester" and "Mona Lisa Smile.
