Review of Scent of a Woman (1992) by Robyn M — 04 Sep 2012
Chris O'Donnell and Al Pachino are the opposite starlets and least expected match for a movie that's beyond this worlds expectations but makes it work flawlessly. I couldn't blink it was that great, WOW is what came to mind.
A touching story of a young boy (O'Donnell) who's in need of a job so he can afford to fly home for the holidays, takes a unconventional road to make a buck as a tempary Aid for Blind (Pachino) who's a drunk thats planned a list of events before he takes his life.
O'Donnell instantly falls for the bizare charm of his new friend. With Noir humor and a uplifting ending your taken away by its complexity and orginal story. Not like other hollywood blockbusters its a classic for those who need something different a breath of fresh air.
