Review of Scent of a Woman (1992) by Matt M — 24 Dec 2013
Assisted by an innocent young scholarship student, a blind man and former army officer goes on a weekend trip to New York. There is no doubt about the fact that it is mostly down to Al Pacino that this film goes down well and comes across as entertaining.
Most of the film's elements are lifted by the original Italian film that starred Vittorio Gassman, in a way that is tainted by the usual Hollywood conventionalities and obnoxious cheesy structural clichés that lack realism.
