This movie is great! It has everything you could ask for from an indie film. The actors do a great job in creating characters you care about and building up tensions that could only come from friends that have been together for years and years. The scenery and the dialog make this a really great film. In a movie like this where there are no special effects, there is limited action, and there is only one set, the movie has to be able to develop the story quickly and make sure the audience cares about what is happening, and more importantly what is going to happen. Scenic Route accomplished this very difficult task, and did it with brilliance.

The film was so good it didn't feel like 90-minutes, and I left the movie feeling satisfied that it wasn't too long, but also wasn't too short. The deeper meanings and couple of plot twists will keep you thinking for a while. There were some real laugh out loud scenes throughout, but also some really intense relationship based dialog scenes that helped you as someone sitting in the audience really connect and care about each of these characters.

The ending has some twists and turns, nothing crazy, and the ending is 100% believable and real. If you have ever been in a situation like this, you will know that the way they ended this movie is not only 100% true to life, but also brilliant!

I strongly recommend this movie. It is really really great!
