Review of Scenic Route (2013) by Cameron J — 08 Dec 2013

I must admit, I've never been a fan of Fogler. Every comedy I've seen him in he's crass, loud and annoying. Wow. After seeing this, my opinion has completely changed. The man is an immensely talented actor.

Duhamel and Fogel both are wonderous in their challenging roles and a delight to watch. The acting is where the praise ends. The script takes a decent premise and makes it's characters come to absolutely stupid and irrational decisions, keeps getting more and more unbelievable and ultimately ends with a supposed twist ending that's supposed to be profound but just comes off as nonsensical, obvious, trite and worst of all, unoriginal.

Yes, the acting is exuberant. But the film is a chore. Not worth your time, but here's hoping we can see Fogler and Duhamel together again.
