I'm going to be honest. Scary Movie 5 was a complete let down. First of all, the poster and wikipedia page got my hopes up. On the poster they had Ted, he was absolutely nowhere in the movie! Also Mike Tyson never wears that outfit and was in the movie for most 15 seconds.

The story was extremely bad with pop culture references that didn't make sense popping up all over the place. The movie itself was fairly funny. There were a few good jokes and scenes but mostly the movie was out of place.

The cheap budget made the special effects hard to look at and you even felt dizzy when you did. Also the film was marketed falsely. Half the scenes in the trailers and posters were not included in the film which really made me upset because to me, those scenes were funny.

The writing really should have been better being helmed by David Zucker, director of the later of the Scary Movie franchise and Airplane! and even The Naked Gun trilogy. I never would've thought that a Scary Movie could be that bad.

I mean seriously, look at the tomatometer. Only 2 positive reviews. Plus some of the "parodies" were only used for a few minutes. The honey boo boo scene made absolutely no sense because that was the only scene, and for no reason.

I don't know what the f**k got cut out to make it the bulls**t PG-13 rating but obviously it was all the good parts. I hope there will be an extended cut on Bluray because frankly, this film put the Scary Movie saga in a bad light.

I preferred A Haunted House!
