Scary Movie 3 was probably the most solid in the series and surely was a step up from the first two films. The humor got a lot stranger and a lot funnier and made for some really funny and clever parodies of horror films around 2003 or so.
It also threw in a few spoofs of non-horror films, but managed to time them in with the plot instead of throwing them in there just to make a parody of it since it was out that year. I find it wonderful to watch how it spoofs various different horror films and always manages to tie the parodies in with the story in a hilarious and clever way.
