Scary Movie is a guilty pleasure comedy for me. I'm surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this, considering my disdain for many parody films of the 21st century. There's no getting around the fact that this film is really stupid and over the top, but I actually laughed a lot at its over the top and gross out nature from start to finish.

I felt it was a solid parody of the horror films that came out in the mid-to-late 90's and it knew how to mock them well. Plus, unlike a lot of newer parodies, this one actually has a plot, which is solidly written and entertaining.

The cast is also pretty good and I especially enjoyed the performances by Anna Faris and Marlon Wayans, who were easily the funniest characters in the film. The film isn't perfect though, since sometimes there are gags that go on too long, but for the most part, I had a really good time watching this film and I will continue to enjoy it for many years to come.
