Review of Scary Movie 2 (2001) by Erik P — 16 Jan 2011

Feels like the effort was so low on the first one that they never expected to make another, but they did, and the effort is even lower. Like the first one, they haven't put together a clever enough spoof or story so they rely on 6th grade toilet humor to fill it out, and y'know, general late 90s outrageous shock humor gross-out style.

But, this time they have some funny people involved! (Anna Faris is talented but..) I mean David Cross, Chris Elliot, Andy Richter . . . they made me laugh many times throughout this crap movie!

So yah. . . middle of the road experience. Like the original and Austin Powers 2 & 3, it's nonsensical bullshit but because of the talent of the cast, there's a lot of good moments and they spoof a lot more movies this time.
