There are some genuinely funny scenes and spoofs in "Scary Movie 2", but the film is also littered with bad gross-out jokes and some lazy writing. Whenever it references pop culture, the film loses its stamina as the audience struggles to remember what it's referring to (and this is only 11 years after it was made).
It's not the worst of the "Movie" series but this is no substitute for a genuinely good horror comedy. (VHS, June 19, 2012).
