Review of Scarlet Street (1945) by Stefanos T — 14 May 2011
Edward G. Robinson plays against type in Fritz Lang's classic exploration of human corruption. This noir pits everyone against each other, bleeding out their weakness in every frame. Dan Duryea is especially solid in "Scarlet Street", playing a wise cracking P.
O.S. that's just waiting for a good beating to come his way. In fact, the whole cast is great, mainly because the dialogue is astounding and the story human.
