Review of Scarface (1983) by Ethan A — 17 May 2013
Apart from a bravura performance from Al Pacino, this film doesn't really have anything going for it. Its excessive length, lack of any redeemable characters, and arguably the cheesiest soundtrack imaginable makes Scarface one of the most overrated films in the history of cinema.
It's not awful by any means, but it is NOT the classic its been deemed.
