Review of Scarface (1983) by Michael S — 26 Aug 2013
Insanely overrated, and when viewed today very dated. Pacino's Cuban accent is laughable. The acting is hammy. Clocking in at nearly three hours, the film is way too long. I find it curious that so many rappers worship this film when it's main character is a coke fiend who wants to sleep with his sister.
The Howard Hawks original from 1932 is vastly superior.
