Review of Scarface (1932) by Anonymous User — 24 Jul 2013
I think i'm just gonna mention how hammy al pacino's performances are in every movie. that's not really a bad thing for the most part though, especially for a movie like this that demands an over-the-top, grandoise, larger-than-life performance that makes the inevitable downfall of his character that much more spectacular, satisfying even.
his performance anchors this entire movie, as it crackles and roars through in a breakneck pace, all the while directed with surgical precision and an infectious flair and captures a moment in time so perfectly.
