Review of Scarecrows (1988) by George P — 19 Jul 2008
As with most cheapo horror flicks, plot is non-existent here. Some para-military group steals a case of money from an army base and escapes in a plane. One guy bails with the money and the others wander around some fields for over an hour looking for him.
A few disgustingly violent scenes are connected by long stretches of pointless, boring sections. There is no explanation for what the scarecrows are or why they insist on murdering people and stuffing them full of money.
The only thing this movie could have had going for it was the creepy locations and scarecrow costumes, but neither was used effectively.
