Review of Sayonara (2015) by Spencer R — 21 Jun 2007
This was a beautiful story about two people who fall in love even when it is against everything the people closest to them are for and what they once stood for. They are two souls that are meant to be together but they have met in the wrong time and the wrong life.
Although it is very long and gets kind of tedious at points (thus the three star rating) this film is one of the most beautiful romance movies ever made. Marlon Brando is great as usual and the scenery is wonderful as well.
This movie also gives quite an enlightening view of such a foreign culture to the audiences of the fifties. Don't worry about the length, though, if you haven't seen this film. You will be missing out on quite a touching story of love and struggle of acceptance.
