Review of Say It Isn't So (2001) by Luke P — 23 Aug 2010
Perennial comedy favourites the Farrelly brothers put their names to this caper, but one has to question exactly what their involvment was. It starts out like many of their other capers (amongst which, Dumb and Dumber, Something about Mary) and a plotline brimming with gross-out promise.
But something is wrong with the production. The sound quality is awful, the lighting is terrible and the editing is poor. I conclude the Farrellys must have been playing golf in Cabo during most of the shoot, leaving their old AD's nephew-in-law in charge of a second unit crew who didn't speak his language.
Disappointing, but there are 4 or 5 screech-out funny moments which redeem it somewhat. Wish I could edit them onto a 2 minute clip.
