Review of Say Anything... (1989) by Shaun K L — 18 May 2010

This has to be one of my 80's Fav Romantic comedy's. Cusack is fantastic as Lloyd Dobler, he really had that awkward quirky character down pat even in his early days. The relationship between the two leads is very real and you really believe they are falling in love. John Mahoney is really great as the over protective father. Ione Skye is a very interesting actress. I think Cameron Crowe creates such great situations and charaters that are very truthful and real.

I think this film was propably based on some thing that might have happened to Cameron himself, that's way I think it is so real.

It's hard to believe that this was his first film because it is so well done. it has all the trade marks of classic Crowe. I love all of Cameron Crowes films. I recommend this for any Crowe or Cusack fan.
