Funny, sweet, emotional, real. "Say Anything..." is one of the best teen romances ever made. Not only is it romantic, but it establishes a great on-screen couple that most screenwriters wouldn't normally come up with.
Cameron Crowe's script is smart and well-structured, and it's helped by two terrifically appealing performances from John Cusack and Ione Skye. Cusack became an established star with his utterly likeable portrayal of Lloyd Dobler.
That boombox scene will stick with you forever.
