Review of Say Anything... (1989) by Mike D — 22 Mar 2013
I really wanted to like it, I really did ... and I did take away from the fact that John Cusak and Ione Skye were absolutely in love with each other. They were the definition of being perfect for one another and everything they did together was precious because they both we such awkward characters.
Unfortunately, like them...the movie was all sorts of awkward. It was way too jumbled for me, it jumped from here to there and back to here and over there and all over the place. It was a romantic comedy with ADD and it made me anxious to watch the movie.
It just refused to flow and that ultimately brings a perfect movie to a very good movie.
